I have been doing so good when it comes to making presents for my family this year! My new years resolution has been making something for each family member on their birthdays instead of getting the usual gift card. My brother's birthday was in March (I just came across this post now) and I came up with an idea based on this shirt I saw here. I think it's great gift for a guy and well my brother loved it. He actually thought I bought it at a store. Win win for me! It's fun to come up with ideas that fit a specific person and their personality!
My brother. He just graduated barber school and is now barbering and shaving at Supernova in Tacoma. You can find their website here. He just started and does great work! Onto my birthday art project....
This is now hanging up in his room over his bed. I just used four canvases I got from JoAnn Fabric and used a stencil to write out the words. I also used a paint pen from JoAnn's so the edges would be crisp and clear! I never used a paint pen before this and I love how it works! They come in all different colors and it's way easier to use instead of a paintbrush and paint. It didn't take too long to do and he loved it! (which is the whole point anyway) I'm finding it so much fun to be more creative for birthday presents this year!
