Halloween was so much fun. Trick or Treating with a child who knows what it's all about and what is going on makes Holidays so much more fun. We talked about Halloween for so long and Sophia was so excited that she wore her costume for three straight days. Seriously. It was so cute and hey that means we got our moneys worth out of it! Since Amelia is so little and really has no opinion on what to wear the dutiful older sister told me who she was going to be. Wonder Woman. She also told me I was going to be Cat Woman and Daddy was going to be Batman and she was going to be Spider Girl. At first I wasn't so sure about the idea but then I realized how easy it would be to put together and we became a family of Super Heroes. It was pretty fun to get dressed up and have such a fun time on Halloween as a family.
These girls are just my life. I made Amelia's costume with a red onesie, blue skirt and felt. Super cheap since I got the pieces second hand. Sophia's was a little tricky because she was so specific with what she wanted. Boots, leggings, gloves and a mask on top of her outfit. I managed to find her black boots for $4 (secondhand) however I had to get creative with the leggings and gloves. Nobody had leggings that looked like spiderwebs for girls and there weren't any black gloves to be found either. I finally found spider leotards in the womens section in Target. I had to sew the top and cut the bottoms off so then she could have her leggings. With the bottom portion I had cut off I was able to make the gloves she wanted! It's the best to be able to see your kids so happy when you can find or make them what they really really want. She was pretty happy about it....and so was I.
Amelia did so good Trick or Treating! This girl just goes with the flow. We stayed out past her bedtime and she just didn't mind!
Batman (whose mask seems to be falling down) Spidergirl, Wonder Woman and Catwoman.
Our little Super Hero family had so much fun! I loved coordinating outfits and I can't wait until next year to see what we (or I should say Sophia) wants us to be! Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!
