Life has been defined by nice weather, parks and swings, picnics and walks lately. As much as we've been going out and enjoying the weather we have been staying in PJ's during the day and well been lazy at times. Maybe because the Holidays are fast approaching and along with the beauty of the Season comes the craziness of parties, shopping and decorating. For now I'm just taking it easy with lazy days and playing at the park.
Yup we broke out the Christmas jammies.
Spidergirl still makes appearances everyday. At least we are getting out monies worth out of that Halloween costume!
First time Millie went in a swing! She loved it until she fell forward and hit her mouth on the front of the swing.
Amelia slept a few nights this last week for 11 hours straight! A mama's dream. Of course after two nights of bliss it went back to the 4 am bottle feedings and for some reason that has been my deep sleep dreaming time in the REM sleep cycle. Since I have been in the middle of dreaming it's been causing me to wake up with my heart racing. It would take me a minute to gather my thoughts and realize it wasn't a prison guard yelling at me (I'm watching Orange is the New Black on Netflix before bedtime) and that I needed to go make a bottle. I would stumble into her room, try not to fall asleep in the rocking chair and place her back in her crib as soon as she was finished. We were on repeat last night. When I took her from her crib this time though I realized this is time we have where it's just me and her. This rarely happens so I seized the opportunity. After she finished her bottle I didn't put her straight back into her crib. I held onto her. I took a breath and even though I was tired I studied her in the dim light. She just snuggled into my neck and wrapped her little hands around my hair. The feelings you go through as a mom during those wee hours in the morning can't be described.
Christmas pictures are this weekend! So excited to use some hot pink! (Sophia's idea of course!)
These two littles just love eachother!
And this one is just a non stop bundle of energy. She learned how to cartwheels all by herself. Seriously. I look at her and see a little girl now. She is engaging in conversations and her mannerisms and imagination is beyond me. The other day she got into the fridge by herself and knocked over a beer (so much for Beer Brauts this week). As I looked up at the sound of the crash she just ran to her room crying. I was so tired at that point I just cleaned it up. She came out all on her own as I finished wiping up the spill and said "I'm sorry mama. I apologize I didn't mean to knock over the beer." First off I wanted to laugh because she knew it was beer and we don't drink a lot of beer here so for her to know that was just funny to me. It also made me kinda proud as a parent because she came out all on her own and apologized for what happened (even though it was an accident). She is growing up into an energetic little sweetheart.
Life has been full of fun lately and I love seeing my girls grow and love each other everyday! Looking forward to a fun and hopefully relaxing (maybe for a bit) weekend!
