The 5x5 challenge means you pick out 5 items of clothing and wear them for five days. It doesn't include shoes, purses, jewelry or cardis and coats either so those can help with different styles. I've done three of them and I learned a lot. It's shown me what kind of clothes to spend money on as well as how many ways I can style the same top or dress.
I wanted to share my challenges with you here so you can see what it's like.
Never underestimate basics. That would be my motto for this challenge. A basic grey t shirt and white button down can be styled so many ways. Add a few accessories and you can give yourself a boho look or preppy vibe. I have started spending more money on my basics because I really get so much use out of them.
This was the first challenge I did and I realized that I didn't wear the denim skirt that much. I don't know if it was the cut of the skirt or what but I felt like it didn't really mesh well with my other pieces. I was struggling to get some of the last looks together. I realized a more basic top than the red one would work better for these challenges, since they would essentially be easier to mix and match.
In November I am going to be doing another challenge and would love to have you join in! If you are interested follow me on Instagram (http://www.instagram.com/ruthyannie) and watch for the post next month!
Hope you all have a wonderful week!
