Even though Spring is here it's still cold out. I'm not going to be reaching for tanks and (rarely) t shirts at this point. I'm looking for ways to incorporate lighter colors or patterns that let you know it's spring, but that can also keep me warm. Gingham is a spring and summer print so this ruffled tiered top is perfect for the season. I wanted to incorporate more spring like tones so saying good bye to my dark wash jeans and hello to my light wash jeans is a must. Also instead of my wintery black boots I pulled out my tan ankle boots for a little less harsh contrast. To complete this look I wanted to incorporate MY "it" color this year, blush pink.
This scarf is the perfect shade of pink, my personal color of choice for spring. I think it adds that little pop of color that this outfit lacked before. Aventura scarves are very soft and this one is airy and works as a light layering piece for spring. I love the little soft leaf pattern it has, which can be paired with any other pattern or color for that matter. Another favorite aspect of this scarf is that it's an infinity which means it won't ever fall off.
Are spring scarves an option for you? How would you style it? Aventura is giving my readers 20% off of their order with the code LittleNest20. This is a one time use code so make sure you stock up on all the goodies! (it is even for sale items!) I have so many more fun looks so be sure to stick around.
This last weekend I had such a wonderful time with my girlfriends (thanks hubs for watching our littles). My cousin bought her in laws house and we had a fun time cleaning the upstairs and looking at all the gorgeous wood work in her new craftsman home. When I got back we worked on our yard and I am looking at planting peonies, dalias, lavender and a few types of herbs in our front yard. Just waiting on the last frost to get it all done!
Hope you all enjoy your weekend!
