As for this dress I really like the idea of wearing red for the Holidays, but not wearing the typical shade of red that Christmas usually conjurs up at least in my mind. This gorgeous deep burgundy/wine color is the shade of red that I was looking for. I decided to use that bright red Christmasy shade as an accent with my shoes and wanted to continue the Holiday feel with a beaded flower statement necklace. I bought this necklace second hand a few years ago and I always break it out during December.
This dress is one of the comfiest ones I now own. It has pockets (that's what sold me on it too!) and is loose enough to move in and eat in but doesn't make me look frumpy. The knit fabric is thick which makes it really warm and the stripes add a cute pattern that would work no matter how you style it. I love the longer length on this dress since it is colder out the more fabric around my legs the better. It also means that when I bend over to pick up my littles, their blankies or who knows what else I won't be giving a show to anyone around me. A total Mama win right?

Also just wanted to say thank you to all of my readers for your support here on my blog and on instagram (@ruthyannie). I finally hit 1000 followers (so hard to get to nowdays) this week and yes I lost a few (who doesn't) but I am so happy to have hit that goal!
Hope you all enjoy your weekend!
