I have been working on a little DIY (I posted a pic on Instagram a little while back. You can follow me @ruthyannie) I realized after I got the dress how perfectly they go together.
Sandals ( DIY by me)
The sandals I DIY'd turned out exactly how I wanted them to! I made the tassels with bracelet thread (don't know the technical term) and used tiny rings that I found at the hobby lobby bead/bracelet making section to attach the tassels to the leather string. I know you can find pre made tassels, but I wanted it to be a full on DIY. Overachiever. I love how it looks with this dress. The laces on the dress and the lace up gladiators I think tie (haha) the outfit together. And then the cuff and tassels just add a fun little vibe to the outfit.
Have you seen the new tassel/gladiator trend? They usually are all a bright rainbow of colors, but I went for the more subtle look so they'd go with more outfits. AND the tassels are removable when I don't want to make that big of a statement. Are they something you'd wear?
