Nothing says Halloween and fall like orange. But I have always felt like orange makes me look like a pumpkin....because well that's the color of pumpkins right? I have learned a few things along my fashion journey and now know that orange works!
I found this dress on Asos awhile ago and fell in love with it. The color, bell sleeves and lace detailing are just gorgeous in my opinion.
1. Look for textures. I wouldn't personally just go for an orange cotton t shirt, but finding a pretty chiffon blouse or dress or a lace one makes it the color seem more sophisticated.
2. Shade. There's pumpkin, apricot, peach, persimmon, tangerine, melon and burnt orange to name a few oranges. Finding the right shade is key. I tend to go a bit to the deeper rich oranges, but I have been seeing brighter and lighter oranges becoming more popular.
3. Trends. See if there is an option for a trendy piece the shade. The bell sleeves are a must have for fall and I think it adds to the overall dress. Finding a pair of orange mules, loafers or even a lantern sleeve knit makes this easier to wear.
Have you tried wearing orange before? What are you thoughts on how to make it wearable for fall?
