OK so I love this little top I found on sale, but it was way too big! I decided to take in the sides and it worked perfectly!
You can see how big the sides were. EACH arm hole was this big.
And the waist was big as well. Basically I needed to take in both sides, all the way down.
I took a tank top that fit the way I liked and lined it up at the top. You can see how wide the side is compared to the other tank.
I pinned both sides of the shirt all the way down.
I then stitched with a sowing machine down both sides. I used a 2.5 inch stitch with the tension at 2.
I cut the excess off and surged the end all the way down.
You can see how fitted it is now, compared to how it looked in the beginning!
I love how it fits! It was such an easy thing to fix! I hope if you have a shirt that you love and its just a bit too big to pull it out and fix it! It might become one of your favorite pieces to wear!
