I love baking cookies! Especially afternoon cookies because the smell lingers for the rest of the day. Milk and cookies or even lemonade and cookies on a summer day are a special treat that I love making for my family and friends. (or for my hubby’s work if I make a large batch!) I just got home from vacation and decided that we needed a little treat to make the transition from a do whatever you want vacation to a back to the grind (and moving) blahness….My grandma makes amazing snickerdoodles and I haven’t found a great recipe, until I stumbled onto a little easy recipe in my Better Homes and Gardens Cook Book. You seriously have to try this recipe. It is the right amount of chewy/crunchiness in a cookie.

Flour, Sugar, Baking Soda, Cream of Tartar, Egg, Vanilla, Flour, Cinnamon. That’s all you need!

Mix together. I poured and placed all the ingredients except flour together, saved that for last, and stirred.

Made round balls of dough.

Rolled into cinnamon and sugar mixture.

Placed each little roll on a cookie sheet and flattened it with the bottom of a wine glass, so it makes a perfect little round cookie.

Baked for 8 minutes to perfection! Yummy stack of snickerdoodles! (no I did not eat them all myself)

Perfect afternoon with snickerdoodle and milk! So so easy and super good to make! The recipe is below!
